Become a facilitator!

The NICE Facilitator Programme is a professional development opportunity for staff members of NICE partner universities and for former participants of the NICE programme (alumni). Going through a set of training, practice, and reflection, you will learn to support diverse groups of students in intercultural teamwork and entrepreneurial processes, by facilitating reflective discussions and using the facilitator tools developed for you by the NICE team. Additionally, you are invited to create a community with your co-facilitators that will support each other throughout this journey.

What can you expect?

Facilitators will be equipped with the necessary tools and support to develop essential facilitation skills for multicultural teamwork and leading reflective discussions. To do this, facilitators will initially receive a comprehensive handbook and live facilitator training sessions on the following dates:

  • 21 February 2024, 10am - 12pm UTC+0

  • 28 February 2024, 10am - 12pm UTC+0

  • 6 March 2024, 10am - 12pm UTC+0

  • 17 April 2024, 10am - 12pm UTC+1

  • 26 June 2024, 10am - 12pm UTC+1

Combined with regular updates, further training and optional check-ins with their co-facilitators, facilitators will then support their own group(s) of students and conduct seven bi-weekly facilitated sessions per group between mid-March and mid-June 2024.

Completing the training and practice, facilitators will receive a certificate, and of course, become part of the NICE LinkedIn community and the international network of facilitators!

What is expected of you?

  • You are keen to learn about facilitation.

  • You have a calm place with stable internet connection, working microphone and camera.

  • You can invest an average of 2 hours a week between 19 February and 30 June 2024.

  • You can attend the five training sessions.

Applications are now open and will close on 4 February 2024. Anyone interested should contact nice-facilitators@outlook.com to find out more about how to apply.
